Celso is a 2 1/2 year old boy who lives in the village of Mano de León, Jocotenango. His family consists of 5 brothers and sisters and his
parents. Casa Jackson was informed that in this village there was a young boy of
very low weight and it was not very difficult for us
to find the address because only 15 families live in this village. On
the other hand, it was very difficult to get to the house as it takes 3
hours to walk there and the difficulty is that no form of transportation
comes to take the people back and forth. It was then that we invited the family to come to Casa Jackson. But it was difficult to convince the mother to bring her son to Casa Jackson. We
walked three hours with Celso’s mother and sister before arriving at
Casa Jackson. We looked for the father at his job and we brought him to
Casa Jackson as well. We convinced his parents that it was important to leave Celso at Casa
Jackson for his rehabilitation. His parents accepted and this is how
Celso came to be at Casa Jackson at the weight of 15.8 lb (7.2 kg).
