Admitted January 13, 2010, referred by Hospital San Juan de Dios and
admitted after presenting signs of digestive problems and vomitting. He
stayed in the hospital for 15 days. Edgar Marco Antonio is the only son of Seņora Floridalma, and has no
father because he abandoned them. Doņa Floridalma works in a tortilla
shop and is originally from the department of Chimaltenango, but moved
to the capital to live with an aunt due to economic and marital
problems. When Edgar was born, his mother did not have anyone to care for him so
that she could work, and so she took him to work with her. Edgar did not
receive the necessary care he needed, and because of this he became
very sick and his weight dropped. When he was admitted to Casa Jackson he weighed 8.5 lb (3.85 kg) at the age of 6
months.
